This comprehensive report by PWC raises many questions on how to prepare for an uncertain future for the Australian economy. FYI, PWC do these reports so well, I urge you to follow them here.
What the future holds for my own family centers so much on my job stability, I know my main focus is upskilling in #digital. Important for leaders to remember is when organisations don't have the same vision as their employees, it affects their employer brand but also the culture of the employees wanting to engage or even stay.
Thankfully I work with an amazing marketing team across both EMEA and AMERICAS that allow me to collaborate and learn. But do consider what you are offering employees, no matter if their role is revenue driven or not, it impacts the entire employer brand when attracting talent.
Technologies have already altered the way many Australians work and more jobs will change forever in 2020. Sixty percent of Australian adults are worried that automation is putting jobs at risk but Australian workers are less likely to be upskilling than their global peers. The mismatch between the skills people have and those needed for the digital age is fast becoming one of the world’s most pressing problems; Australia has plenty of catching up to do.
